Even a seasoned politician and speaker like Winston Churchill apparently had to practice and work on his image. The story goes that Churchill's valet, overhearing him talking while taking a bath, called out, “Sir, to whom are you speaking? Is everything all right?” And Churchill replied, “I am addressing the House of Commons!”
If your intonation or vocal style isn't creating a compelling image, work with someone trained to develop speaking skills.
