When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
SKILL AND PRACTICE
Even a seasoned politician and speaker like Winston Churchill apparently had to practice and work on his image. The story goes that Churchill's valet, overhearing him talking while taking a bath, called out, “Sir, to whom are you speaking? Is everything all right?” And Churchill replied, “I am addressing the House of Commons!”
If your intonation or vocal style isn't creating a compelling image, work with someone trained to develop speaking skills.
Practice may not make you perfect, but it will almost certainly help you make progress. Once you have taken a close look at your current image, chosen your desired image, and set goals for closing the gap, the best strategy for crafting your image is to practice. An effective leadership ...
