When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
BASED ON VALUES
The importance of developing a leadership philosophy of values-based leadership cannot be overstated. All organizations will have a problem excelling in the future unless their people are able to achieve a common understanding of what the company's core values are and the implications of those values for local values around the world.
The focus in business and leadership research has been on leadership as an employee-manager interface or as a supplier-customer relationship (brand value). But values have much broader leadership implications than that. Leaders need to find a way to measure the gap—what are the politics and pressures on leaders? Do leaders need to move some of the company's border posts or further define which expectations ...
