When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Dealing with the single post page
- Let's create a file in our theme root and save the file as single.php.
- Now while creating this file, if we go and click on one of these blog posts, it'll be completely blank because it's automatically looking at the single.php page.
- We'll now copy everything that we have in the index.php file and paste it into the single.php file. Save it and reload the page; it looks exactly the same way as the index page:
- Let's go in and change some of that. First, let's remove if(has_post_thumbnail()). Now go down to where it says else and cut out from there up to the actual if statement. We will also get rid of endif ...
