It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
XDCR use cases
XDCR can be configured for data locality to improve performance in which data is served from the Couchbase cluster, which is physically closer to the user's location to provide faster data retrieval. It will ensure 24x7x365 data availability even if an entire data center goes down due to some disaster. You can use it to verify code changes in a test environment with the actual production data before moving to the production environment, enabling the developers to test applications on the production data.
