Summary
In this chapter, we explored techniques to improve the performance of Lightning Components, both on the client-side and on the server-side. The Salesforce community page optimizer Chrome plugin (download the plugin from https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/Salesforce-community-page/alkcnclapbnefkodhbkpifdkceldogka) can help a great deal in identifying the performance bottlenecks of your components.
In the next chapter, we will explore how you can take Lightning Components outside the Salesforce platform, using Lightning Out technology. We will use the YouTube search component that we built in Chapter 3, Lightning Component Building Blocks, and render it inside a Heroku Node.js application, using Lightning Out technology.
