We will not go into much detail about the performance of 3D applications, because it is an extensive field and we could write an entire book about it. However, we will learn about an important concept that can be applied to any web application: frames per second (FPS), or frame rate. When the web application is displayed on the screen, it is done at several images (frames) per second. A low frame rate can be detrimental to the overall user experience when perceived by the users.
