Getting Started with Artificial Light
In addition to the many types of sunlight in our world, photographers also shoot under a wide range of artificial lights—the lights found in our homes and workplaces, as well as continuous lights, flashes, and strobes made specifically for photography. Just as sunlight comes in many colors and can be shaped by clouds and other natural modifiers, each type of artificial light has a unique set of characteristics that provide opportunities and challenges.
