In addition, the tools we have to work with type
are faster and much more fl exible. Now we can
turn type into paths in seconds and skew and
splice and shape it. It’s an exciting time of
blossoming and experimentation.
Alas, those same great tools are available to all.
And while not everyone can draw an illustrative
logo, nearly everyone can type—and type they
do, creating “logos” simply by setting raw type.
