You might be thinking, what's the big deal, you get the same functionality with Docker that we could get by just building and running your Go program. Well, that's true locally, but the magic of Docker happens when we want to run our same functionality in an environment other than our laptop.
We can take those Docker images and run them in the exact same way on any host that is running Docker, and they will produce the same exact behavior. This is true for any Docker image. You don't have to install any of the dependencies that might be layered inside of the Docker image. All you need is Docker.
