I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Global companies do not always require staff to write formal reports in English. Often the reports of yesteryear have now been replaced by presentations, as I mentioned in Chapter 4. Or they have been replaced by business reviews and collaborative reports. These are where a writer gathers facts and adds their and possibly others’ evaluation of these, as a business case for consideration. The review can be a question of creating an open dialogue, which may or may not lead to a conclusion in due course.
Whichever style your organization prefers, you will have a writing template to use. So my tips that follow are designed to help you plan your writing stages methodically.
