If you want to learn more about Albrecht Dũrer, his art, and his ideas about
geometry, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City has some of his
engravings on their site (www.metmuseum.org) including Melencolia. We
have talked a lot about ancient Greece in our explorations to this point in the
book because they discovered so many of the basic ideas. However, in the
Renaissance art and engineering overlapped often (for example, with Leon-
ardo da Vinci) and we explore some of that in Chapter 13.
