Model the overhang on top of the insert.

9. To make the overhang, drag a box on top of the insert. Size the lid 2.5×3.5.

Turn Snap Grid off and center the lid on the box. Then decrease the

makes this easier. If the grid bothers you, you can turn it off by clicking

Settings in the lower-right corner and uncheck Show Grid.

10. Drag a crossing window around the overhang box and insert box. A
