It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Conduct a Portfolio Evaluation Meeting at Least Quarterly to Start
In Decide When to Review the Portfolio, I suggest some ways you can consider how often to review your project portfolio. When you’re starting, review the portfolio at least once a quarter. Even if everything is perfect now—your strategy changes less frequently than once a quarter, your projects are finishing on time, your next projects start on time, you can fully staff your projects, and you can fully fund your projects—perfection is not going to last forever. You need to see the feedback the projects can provide you with for their progress and how well they continue to fit into the strategic plan.
