About the Authors

Malini Jain Runtasewee is a senior cloud and data project manager at Toptal and a lecturer at IE University, Escuela de Organización Industrial, and EIP International Business School, where she teaches data and AI project management. She is also a coauthor of an AI fundamentals book published by ANAYA Multimedia. She has extensive experience leading the delivery of cloud and data initiatives across a diverse range of industries, working with organizations of varying sizes, from startups to large enterprises. Her international experience spans Canada, the United States, and Spain, where she has managed complex projects involving data platforms, artificial intelligence solutions, and digital transformation programs. Her work focuses on aligning business objectives with technological execution, enabling organizations to effectively operationalize data and AI capabilities in a scalable and sustainable manner.

Adrián González Sánchez is a product manager, AI & search at Microsoft AI, an academic director at IE University, and an author of multiple O’Reilly and Packt books and reports. He has previously worked for several AI companies in Europe and North America. He is part of a number of international initiatives, including the Spanish Observatory of Ethical and Social Impact of AI (OdiseIA) and The Linux Foundation, as well as the expert group for the EU AI Act Sandbox with the Spanish Government in Europe.
