About the Author

Joan Horvath has been an engineer, educator, and management consultant. She was an early member of the management team at Deezmaker, a startup 3D printer company. She also has an appointment as Core Adjunct faculty for National University’s College of Letters and Sciences, where she teaches online in the Interdisciplinary Studies program. She has taught at the university level for several institutions, both in Southern California and online, and has been involved in various entrepreneurial ventures.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, she spent the first 16 years of her professional life at the NASA/Caltech Jet Propulsion Laboratory ...
