So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
HTTP/1.1 status codes
There is a broad range of status codes, which indicate to the client what has occurred with the request that has been processed by the server:
- 2xx: Success
- 200: OK
- 201: Created
- 3xx: Redirection
- 4xx: Client error
- 400: Bad Request
- 401: Unauthorized
- 403: Forbidden
- 404: Not found
- 409: Conflict
- 5xx: Server error
- 500: Internal server error
We will concentrate on the most common codes and the codes that we will use later on in the book when we implement an API.
