It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

OAuth is an industry-standard protocol for authorization; it focuses on client development by providing specific authorization flows for web applications, desktop, mobiles, and so no.
The usage of OAuth needs a UI for flow-based authentication. The steps to integrate it with ASP.NET Core Web API are much simpler than thought. Refer to https://auth0.com/authenticate/aspnet-core-webapi/oauth2, and follow the steps shown there.
