So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
In this chapter, we covered some type providers that are available in the F# language and explored how to use them. We also saw how the query { ... } operators can be customized to use custom builders for ease of use. Together with other F# features such as type inference or the F# interactive environment, type providers are a fantastic way to do exploratory programming as we can start coding with very low ceremony, and investigate the data source directly from F# using the IDE autocompletion.
In the next chapter, you will learn how to create a web application using F# on both the server and client sides.
