Previous chapters have already begun pulling back the covers on the changes in Configuration Manager 2012. This chapter is focused on discussing Configuration Manager 2012 sites, hierarchies, and site system roles along with a walkthrough of building a sample hierarchy.

A major design pillar for Configuration Manager 2012 was hierarchy simplification.
