Tape Servers and Other Enhancements
This chapter will look at tape servers and other enhancements to Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) v12. We will look at having a tape server role with a Linux-based server and also at sending backups from object storage to tape. We will also look at network attached storage (NAS) backup direct to tape and better LTO9 support. Finally, we will look at other changes such as restoring “permissions only” for files, exporting virtual machine (VM) disks to another hypervisor, and the enhancements to the VM exclusions, which now include exclusion from everywhere!
