It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 17. Application Layout
This chapter takes its lead from the learning material covered in the closing sections of Chapter 10, “Custom Controls,” where you learned about the Layout Container and Aggregate Container design patterns. Both of these design patterns are typically used by many XPages developers when constructing an XPages application and are also inherently supported by a number of out-of-the-box controls, particularly the Application Layout control. In this chapter, you learn more about this particular control so that you can fully utilize it for your everyday XPages development.
