Throughout this book, the file icon identifies downloadable data files that allow you to examine the data for selected problems.

Each data file is available as:

• An Excel .xls workbook file that can be opened by all Microsoft Excel versions and OpenOffice.org Calc 3

• Either a TI.83m matrix file or a TI .83l list file that can be loaded into any calculator in the TI-83 and TI-84 family
