Michael Mays is a professor emeritus of the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University, where he taught for 40 years. During his tenure, he also served as director of the Institute for Math Learning and chair of the Department of Statistics. He’s had research appointments at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, and the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Michael has written 62 research papers and technical reports on number theory, combinatorics, and mathematics education.
