I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting started with Datomic
To set up Datomic, download and extract the free edition's datomic-free-x.x.xxxx.xx.zip file. The free version of Datomic does not require any license key. For other versions, registration is mandatory to obtain a license key which must be added to transactor properties for Datomic to work. Datomic distribution contains two JARs, datomic-free-x.x.xxxx.xx.jar and datomic-transactor-free-x.x.xxxx.xx.jar. The datomic-free JAR file contains a peer library and datomic-transactor contains the implementation of the transactor. The distribution also contains a bin folder that has all the required scripts to start Datomic components as shown here:
