Field service management (FSM) software is designed to fulfill the needs of organizations with a mobile workforce composed of technicians who provide installation, repair, and maintenance services for equipment located “in the field” at customer sites. The type of service performed isn’t always equipment-related, as in fixing a broken water heater; it might be killing bugs or mowing the lawn. Here are some examples of types of businesses that have traditionally used FSM software:
