Understanding Web Form Limitations

When you’re creating forms in a web database, you can create client forms and web forms. Client forms support all the rich client functionality such as Visual Basic code, client macro actions, and different form types. Web forms, forms that will display in a web browser, are limited in their functionality and complexity. There are only three form types you can use for web forms—single record forms, continuous forms, and datasheet forms. You can still create split forms, multiple-page forms, PivotTables, and PivotCharts in a web database; however, they will not run in a web browser.
