Passing Parameters to Forms and Reports

In Chapter 7, you learned how the Logic Designer displays parameter boxes when you create and use named data macros. If you use parameters in a query for a form or report record source, Access displays the parameters you defined in the query when you place an OpenForm or OpenReport action on the macro design surface. To show you an example of this behavior, open the frmInvoiceReports web form in Layout view. Open the Property Sheet window, select the command button called cmdPreviewReport from the Select box, and then click the Event tab. Next to the On Click event property line, click Build to open the Logic Designer and see the macro actions we defined for this command button, as shown in Figure 21-6
