Monitoring Server Features
Readers who previously managed OCS 2007 or OCS 2007 R2 are likely aware that the Monitoring Server features are not up to par with the rest of the product. Lync Server addresses many of the legacy issues and greatly improves on the functionality. Some of the new features include
• Rich reporting—The Monitoring Server role now uses SQL Server Reporting Services to provide useful information about media quality, call reliability, and system usage. Administrators can access a custom dashboard view that presents each of these reports in a single interface.
