Chapter 17. Tabular Deployment
After you create a Tabular model, you have to deploy it in a production environment, and this effort requires you to plan how you will partition data, how you will process data, and how you will handle DirectQuery mode. In this chapter, you see an extensive coverage of these topics, with particular attention given to design consideration to give you the knowledge to make the right decisions based on your specific requirements. You also find step-by-step guides to introduce you to the use of certain functions you see for the first time in this chapter. However, the chapter first discusses important considerations in defining the hardware requirements for a Tabular instance of Analysis Services.
