When the time comes to say goodbye to a database, all you need to do is
Launch the SQL Server Management Studio.
Connect to the appropriate SQL Server instance.
Expand the connection's entry in the Object Explorer view.
Expand the Databases folder.
Right-click the database that you want to remove and choose Delete.

NOTE
If your database employs mirroring, log shipping, replication, and so on, you will need to remove these settings prior to successfully dropping your database.
