Before you start creating new databases, you probably want to check out some of the system databases that we just described, or perhaps an already-existing user database. Here's how to discover more about the databases in your SQL Server instance:
Launch the SQL Server Management Studio.
Connect to a specific database server.
We just described how to do this in the previous section of this chapter.
Expand the Databases folder.
Here's where you get a list of all available databases on this server. You can find out more about each database by expanding its folder. If you're interested in this topic, stay tuned because it's up next.
