I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Moving a project to Git
Until now, whatever we have coded resides locally on our machine, which will never be an ideal case as we will typically be using the source control tool GitHub, Bitbucket, and so on. Follow the given steps to move the project to GitHub (assuming that you have a GitHub account; if not, please sign up on https://github.com/):
- Install Git by downloading the respective installer for your machine (either Mac or Windows).
- Once done, launch the Terminal and type in the git --version command. It should show something similar to this (with a higher version number):
