Creating an Atom

As a MobX user, you would rarely use an Atom directly. Instead, you would rely on other convenience APIs exposed by MobX or data structures like ObservableObject, ObservableArray, or ObservableMap. However, the real world always creates situations where you may have to dive a few levels deeper.

MobX does give you a convenient factory function for creating atoms, aptly named createAtom():

createAtom(name, onBecomeObservedHandler, onBecomeUnobservedHandler)

• name (string): The name of the atom, which is utilized by the debugging and tracing facilities in MobX
• onBecomeObservedHandler (() => { }): A callback function to get notified when an atom gets observed for the first time
