Overview

This chapter will introduce MongoDB cluster concepts and administration. It starts with a discussion on the concepts of high availability and the load sharing of a MongoDB database. You will configure and install MongoDB replica sets in different environments, manage and monitor MongoDB replica set clusters, and practice cluster switchover and failover steps. You will explore high-availability clusters in MongoDB and connect to a MongoDB cluster to perform typical administration tasks on MongoDB cluster deployments.
