The following three stories from Europe, Australia, and the United States are told by executives from 3stepIT, TES – IT Lifecycle Solutions, and Ingram Micro. Each of them followed a different journey to sustainability and the circular economy.

Carmen Ene tells how she was recruited away from IBM to lead 3stepIT–a Nordic leader in Technology Lifecycle Management–and quickly grew the business throughout Europe by partnering with global financial institutions that offer leasing for technology assets. 3stepIT has over 25 years of experience in supporting customers throughout all phases of an asset’s lifecycle: from acquisition to management to giving it a second life through refurbishing.

Stuart Hebron relates the story of how he and Gary Steele grew with the industry from its beginnings when electronic recycling was all about recovering valuable metals and material from outdated equipment to today's reuse, refurbishment, and data protection required for the circular economy.

Todd Segers leads ITAD & Reverse Logistics operations for Ingram Micro, one of the largest computer technology distributors in the world. He shares his story of founding Green Asset Disposal in 2003, merging it with CloudBlue, and then being acquired by Ingram Micro.
