When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

So, there you are, sitting in front of the screen or peering down into your smartphone. It's been a long day and you feel the need to unwind. You have already spent a couple of hours on social media throughout the day, but you just keep going. There's something nice about how easy it is. Uncomplicated and yet in many ways more satisfying than TV because you are a direct participant and you never know what's going to happen. Will someone like your comments? Will someone new try to friend you? Will you discover something new about a friend? Maybe there is a good quiz coming up or a video with kittens?
