4.1INTRODUCTION
Traditionally, the ground control points (GCPs) are acquired by a special equipment or manually measured from a referenced image. Such a traditional method cannot meet the performance requirement for real-time response to time-critical events in practice (Zhou et al. 2017; Leng et al. 2018, Deng et al. 2008). Therefore, this chapter aims to automatically extract GCPs from the remotely sensed image in real-time (Liu 2022).
