So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Exadata Smart Flash Cache
With Exadata X2, Oracle introduced Flash Cache on the storage cells, not only to help with reads by caching frequently accessed data but to help with log writing as well (Flash Logging, available with 11.2.2.4 Storage Software). The X2 had a total of 5.3TB of flash cache in a full rack. As flash prices have decreased and capacities have increased, the X7, the newest version as of the beginning of 2018, has a maximum of 307.2TB (full rack) in the Exadata Cloud Service and Cloud at Customer models.
