Struts is a framework of reusable components used in J2EE web applications built with various J2EE technologies such as JavaServer Pages (JSPs), JavaBeans, and servlets. Incorporating Struts into your application development provides solid support for the Controller layer in the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern.

The Struts framework is part of the Apache Software Foundation’s Jakarta Project (http://struts. apache.org/), where you can find the latest standards and tools for web-based J2EE design. The Jakarta Project maintains free, open-source solutions on the Java platform for distribution to the public.
