When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 9Persuading People to Buy
Here's an interesting question. What do all successful businesses have in common? The answer is they all sell something for a profit. This book is entitled Passion into Profit, and for you to make those profits, people need to buy your information products, seminars, workshops, webinars and mastermind programmes. If you haven't produced something to sell yet, then re-read Chapter 5, ‘Creating Word-class Content’ and Chapter 6, ‘Productizing Your Knowledge’, and get producing and publishing something to sell. Don't worry if your first attempt doesn't produce something amazing. Trust me – you'll get better.
Okay, time for a rant.
