To round off this chapter on arguably the most popular manifestation of peer technology, I decided to briefly cover a handful of implementations that are rather different from each other and from the previous clients. The last, Windows Messenger, might even become the dominant future IM technology, overtaking the current role of ICQ-AIM as the mediums of choice. This is because of it being bundled with all Windows XP systems, and the fact that it is as yet fairly clone friendly.
