This book attempts the Herculean task of defining and exemplifying Policy Routing. Policy Routing is the ultimate stage of evolution in the consideration of IPv4 networking structures. Often referred to as advanced routing or similar nomenclature, Policy Routing provides a framework for understanding all networking interconnections under IPv4 and beyond.
Any discussion of how Policy Routing works must draw upon the essential nature of the original Unix TCP/IP networking.
