It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The purpose of this chapter is to lay out the technical aspects of data mining model evaluation. This chapter also explains the meaning and use of a wide range of metrics commonly used to evaluate models created using data mining technology. An evaluation checklist is provided. A case study shows how model evaluation metrics can be used in a simulation to optimize a control system.
