So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Building an Application Customizer
In the previous chapter, we saw how to create a form customizer (one of the multiple elements that we can create using SPFx), which was used to control the new, edit, and display forms of a list item in the Products list. In particular, we learned how to change the display of the fields rendered in the forms and have complete control of their actions and the forms’ actions. In this chapter, we will look at another element of SPFx – an extension called Application Customizer.
Some of the concepts in this chapter will be similar or in line with the concepts mentioned in the previous chapters on web parts and form customizers. This chapter contains the following topics:
