I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This book was written and designed entirely on a 15-inch Apple MacBook Pro with a 2.33 GHz Intel Core Duo processor and 2 GB of RAM. Some of the early writing took place while I balanced the MacBook on my lap on the beach in both Oregon and Hawaii; most of the writing took place in the Hommachi Starbucks in downtown Osaka, Japan. The text was written in Microsoft Word, and after editing, was placed in Adobe InDesign. InDesign was used for all layout and design of the book’s interior. Adobe Illustrator was used to create the front and back covers.
