Why Use Profiles?
There’s simply no reason to use output profiles if you continue to use an Epson, Canon, or HP printer, along with the same brand of ink and paper types. When printer manufacturers design their unique printer driver applications, they include purpose-made profiles for each of their own type of media within the driver itself. In fact, by choosing one of the Media Type options from the printer software, as shown right, you are unconsciously linking your print to a hidden output profile.
