This chapter describes the operation of a DNS system. Namely, you'll learn about the following topics:
DNS queries: How does your browser find
www.example.com? How does your mail software know where to send your outgoing e-mail? Such operations use DNS queries.Reverse mapping: How does your mail software determine your identity?
