Chapter 12. BIND Configuration Reference

This chapter contains reference information about the daunting list of parameters that control the BIND 9 series of applications. The reference is split into two parts:

1. The BIND command-line arguments that control the operational environment at load time and signals that are accepted by a running daemond

2. The BIND configuration parameters defined in the named.conf file that control operational functionality

While the very number of configuration options may seem initially confusing, only a small subset is required for a typical BIND configuration.
