So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Human-based workflow is increasingly becoming a critical component of enterprise content management systems development. Beyond the need to route content through an organization for review and approval, workflows are growing in complexity, touching a broad range of external systems and driving critical business processes. This chapter examines the various options available for developing SharePoint workflow solutions and will explore in detail the mechanics and the techniques involved. However, before diving into the SharePoint-specific workflow capabilities, it will be helpful to take a closer look at Windows Workflow Foundation, the business process automation platform upon which SharePoint workflow is built.
