Conventions used

There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.

CodeInText: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: "Determine the appropriate input widget for each data field."

A block of code is set as follows:

def has_five_or_less_chars(string):    return len(string) <= 5    wrapped_function = root.register(has_five_or_less_chars)    vcmd = (wrapped_function, '%P')    five_char_input = ttk.Entry(root, validate='key', validatecommand=vcmd)

When we wish to draw your attention to a particular part of a code block, the relevant lines or items are set in bold:

[default]exten => s,1,Dial(Zap/1|30)exten => s,2,Voicemail(u100) ...
